[코스인코리아닷컴 홍성인 기자] 의약품 효능을 화장품에 녹여낸 코스메슈티컬(cosmeceutical) 화장품들이 2017년 새로운 트렌드로 떠올랐다. 특히 의약품 개발과 관련된 노하우를 살려 화장품 시장에 진출한 제약사들은 단시간에 소비자의 신뢰성을 높이며 안정적 정착을 이루고 있다.

2017년 7월 유산균 발효물을 함유한 기능성 마스크 제품인 ‘퍼스트랩 프로바이오틱 마스크(FIRSTLAB PROBIOTIC MASK)’를 출시한 일동제약은 홈쇼핑 등 주요 판매채널에서 소비자들의 큰 호응을 이끌고 있다.
지난해 7월 롯데홈쇼핑 첫 방송에서 전량 매진을 기록했고 이후에도 매진 행렬이 이어지면서 출시 4개월 만에 420여만장 판매를 돌파했다.

여기에 약용식물인 유칼립투스를 활용한 천연 소재 시트를 사용해 고보습, 고밀착 마스크를 탄생시켰다. 퍼스트랩 프로바이오틱 마스크에 사용된 시트는 100% 유칼립투스 시트로 마스크 시트 원단에 대해 유럽 친환경 인증 OEKO-TEX Standard 100을 획득했다.
일동제약 관계자는 “퍼스트랩 프로바이오틱 마스크는 과색소 침착 개선의 입증된 효과로 기미, 주근깨, 잡티로부터 맑고 깨끗한 피부로 관리해 주는 제품”이라며 “유산균 발효물을 함유했다는 차별점이 고객들의 관심을 이끌어 낸 것 같다”고 말했다.
이어 “고객평과 사용 후기를 꼼꼼히 모니터링해 브랜드 관리를 강화하고 고객들의 성원에 보답해 나갈 것”이라고 밝혔다.
